Your agreement stays with you

Your agreement stays in this browser on this device. We don’t receive the names, amounts or anything else you type into the questions or the calculator. If your browser blocks storage, your answers are kept in the page address instead, after a # sign, which browsers don’t send to us.

What we count

We count a few things, with nothing from your agreement in them: visits to the home page, people who start the questions, agreements opened with nothing left to fill in, and presses of the download button. Each count is kept by day, and counts from scripts and search engines are kept apart from people’s.

For each press of the download button we also keep the time, the country that Cloudflare, our host, reports, whether an email was left, and whether the press passed the check below.

Your IP address

Cloudflare, which hosts this site, receives your IP address with every page you open, as any web host does. We use it for up to an hour only to stop the same address sending too many requests, and we don’t keep it with anything else.

When you press the download button, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a script, pressed it. It runs only at that step, and Cloudflare sees your IP address to make the check. Cloudflare’s privacy policy explains what Cloudflare does with it.

Your email address, if you leave one

If you leave your email to hear when downloads open, we keep it apart from the counts, with the day you left it (not the time) and nothing that links it to your agreement. We use it only to send that one message, through an email delivery service that handles the address only to deliver it. We delete the address once the message is sent, or 12 months after you left it, whichever comes first.

Cookies and storage

We don’t set cookies. Cloudflare’s person check may set its own at the download step. The site keeps your answers in this browser’s storage, and notes during a visit that a count has been sent, so it isn’t sent twice.

Selling and sharing

We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising, and there are no ads. We share it only with the services that run the site: Cloudflare, and the email delivery service for the one message.

Tracking across sites

We don’t track you across other websites, and apart from Cloudflare’s person check, nobody else collects information about you across websites through this site. The site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

Children

This site is for adults. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child has left an email address with us, write to hello@familyloanagreement.com and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we’ll change the date at the top. We won’t use an email address you’ve already left in a new way without asking you.
